The alkyd base compounds are quick drying, while full hardness is achieved in 7 days. During this long drying process the primer chemically reacts with oxygen, and as a result gives it superior anti corrosion properties. Car Rep Anti Rust primers must be overcoated wet on wet within 15 minutes
