Germany, Heer. Two Period Photos Of A Wehrmacht General Archive cross is worn conditionBoth measuring 10. 5 x 14. 7 cm each; The photos show a soldier of the Wehrmacht, with cap and without. The collar patches identify him as a general or general field marshall. The style of these patches is called alt Larisch, the devices are sometimes called Arabesken (arabesques). Field marshals wore the same as generals until 1941, after which they were authorized to wear a variant with three rather than two iterations of the repeating pattern.
