Hosta Marilyn Monroe Eastern Asia Our offering of Aspidistra carnosaHosta 'Marilyn Monroe' is a vigorous seedling selection from open pollinated Hosta rupifraga 'Urajiro' seed the late Jim Hawes acquired from Japan. Hosta 'Marilyn Monroe' makes a 2' wide clump, composed of red petioles holding the medium sized, wavy edged, grey green leaves so that you get a good glimpse of the dramatic, waxy white backs.
