Etrurie defined by the use ofThis book was published on the occasion of the retrospective marking the centenary of the birth of Antoni Tpies (Barcelona, 1923 2012), a key figure in post war modern art. It presents numerous key works from each of the artist's periods: after his self portraits and works influenced by surrealism and Dadaism, Tpies produced his first matiriste paintings in the 1950s, which incorporated raw materials, stains, and signs.
