Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a period replacement ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central oak leaf wreath surrounding an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTEIM ZOLLGRENZSCHUTZ (FOR FAITHFUL
