Naming is engraved in running script, neatly and smartly re named, inverted, with a pawn broker's mark to the left of the Sphinx's head on the reverse. Edge nicks, contact marks, replacement ribbon, very fine. Footnote: This medal has been most elaborately re named, presumably by Holdaway's master, and then presented to him as a token of appreciation. However, perhaps
