A First World War patriotic Iron Cross badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with black enameled arms trimmed with white borders, bearing a central gilt initial W, the six oclock arm with a gilt date of 1914, the twelve oclock arm with a gilt crown, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat write catch,
